Ronald Fenty says he knew his daughter Rihanna was destined for great things when she was just seven years old.
The 57-year-old father has endured a strained relationship with the pop princess, with Rihanna previously revealing her dad battled problems with alcohol and drugs.
However it appears that there has been a reunion after Rihanna recently told the media she had spent time with her father on Christmas Day.
Despite their fallouts Ronald believes the success gained by his daughter is expected after he witnessed her talent when she was still a child. He recalls hearing Rihanna sing for the first time when she was just three years old.
“She was always very talented. Everything was very easy for her,” he explained to more magazine.
“And she always sang from an early age. I remember when she was three years old standing by the mirror with a hairbrush. Then when she was seven, I was watching TV and she was on the balcony singing. I called her in and said, ‘Sing to me again’.
“I thought, ‘Is this for real? This is really good.’”
